Teela is a very skilled female fighter. She is Captain of the Guard for Eternia, and is in the royal family. She is the daughter of the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull. Teela is very skilled at hand-to-hand combat, and has a little bit of magical power. She can also read difficult inscriptions and ancient writing.
After Teela’s father died, the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull could not take care of Teela anymore and defend castle Grayskull by herself, so Man-At-Arms adopted Teela. Throughout Teela’s life, Man-At-Arms depicted a very smart, strong-willed father for her and loved and cared for Teela very much. Man-At-Arms always made sure that Teela learned a lesson out of everything she did.
Even though Teela is in the royal family, she has a reckless tomboy personality and has a short temper. She gets mad at Prince Adam a lot because she doesn’t know Adam’s secret, and sees him as lazy and inattentive to his training when he is resting from his duties as He-Man. She also disobeys her foster-father with her reckless behavior, and gets into much trouble along the way.
Teela uses her cobra staff and a shield during battle, and sometimes even uses a sword. She can beat almost everyone at hand-to-hand combat, and is very flexible. She also has a freeze ray that can stop things in its tracks. Teela’s horse lets her go far distances in a short amount of time. Her short temper helps her during battle, too.
